𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐬𝐞 • 25 Oct 22 • Here are 9 pictures I shot during today’s Partial Solar Eclipse. After the cover image, the others are in sequence roughly from 5:35 PM to 5:48 PM when the Sun finally set. The photos are shot on Canon 200D with 55-250 mm lens and settings varied depending on the shot. #karthikabhiram #capturedoncanon #hellohyderabad #hyderabad @instagram #hellofrom #thisweekoninstagram #solareclipse #solareclipse2022

Happy Diwali everyone. Watched "Kantara" yesterday at @prasadsmultiplx, I really liked the technical and filmmaking aspects but overall I guess it's not my type of movie and I couldn't connect with it. Once it eventually comes on Prime Video I'll rewatch it. #karthikabhiram @samsungwithgalaxy #S22 #withgalaxy

I watched Drishyam (2013) and Drishyam 2: The Resumption (2021) back to back yesterday and enjoyed the movies greatly! What stood out to me most was the deft writing, the inventiveness of it all, the way so many things were set up and paid off and how Jeethu Joseph controlled the information he was giving to the audience at every stage. Of course the acting was great and all the other filmmaking aspects were also really good. I'm very glad I watched the movies back to back because they work better that way. I drew Mohanlal from both movies in ballpoint pen using colours I don't use that often. I'll make a post on this as well, but for now posting a Reel for the better Reach! #karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch

[700TH #DAILYMOVIESKETCH DRAWING • #scifinktober22 by @alberto_sting Day 15]RoboCop (1987)Directed by Paul VerhoevenThis is the 700th sketch I've done for my "Daily Movie Sketch" project. For those who don't know about it, in 2016 I started an art account to post movie related sketches, for around 3 months I posted daily. Later on I still continued posting regularly, though not daily. From 2020 though, I'm only active on this @karthikabhiram account, but I've continued the numbering of sketches from the time I started, and this is number 700.It's an entry for Alberto Russo's take on Inktober, based on classic sci fi movies, and as I love this movie, it worked out well for this milestone."RoboCop" is an excellent dystopian sci fi action movie set in the near future, with the megacorporation OCP running the police department. Cop Alex Murphy is killed in the line of duty and resurrected as a cyborg cop, a project of OCP to control crime. The smart script has a lot of humour and I love the stylised choices they made. The graphic violence and bloodshed is much appreciated, it has a superb score by Basil Poledouris, amazing makeup and special effects, and stop motion animation by Phil Tippett.Since Alberto's sketches have multiple characters from the movies, I did something similar. You have RoboCop with and without the helmet, a bit where OCP employee Kinney gets riddled with bullets by the droid ED-209 (a scene which had to be trimmed to avoid an X rating, the Director's cut reinstates these few seconds of footage). People have referenced the show "South Park" where Kenny is killed in hilariously gruesome ways in multiple episodes. Also, a small sketch of a collectible action figure. This is drawn with ballpoint pen on A5 sketchbook, you can swipe to see a scan.#700 / 16-Oct-22@inktober #inktober #inktober2022#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing #ballpointpensketch#robocop

𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐎 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌 • For a long time I have used VSCO and Snapseed to edit pictures on phone, of late I've added Lightroom also as one of the tools I'm using.Since my older phones were not good with video, it's only in the past year or so that I've posted more of video and Reels content, and since the video footage has been really good from iPhone 12 Mini and my current Samsung Galaxy S22, I have generally not edited the videos at all.You can edit videos with VSCO and apply the same Presets available for pictures, and you can do a similar thing with Lightroom too. Once you have applied certain edits to photos, you can click on Presets, and the three dots at the top of the page and click "Create Preset" to save those. Then, when you open a video clip in Lightroom, you can apply the same onto video footage too. It's an easy way to get your video clips looking the same as your pictures. Even if you're not using a preset, the "Light" and "Colour" tabs will be available in Lightroom for you to make adjustments. This is not something I've used till now but I think I will experiment more with it going forward.#karthikabhiram #reels @adobe @lightroom #lightroom #tutorial #colourgrading #Hyderabad
