[POSTER VERSION "THREAT LEVEL MIDNIGHT"]"Threat Level Midnight (2011)" / The Office (2005-2013)"Directed by Michael Scott" / Developed by Greg DanielsI am now on Season 8 of "The Office" and am really enjoying the show, I love the character building and writing. In one of the episodes of Season 7, we see a fictional movie called "Threat Level Midnight" made by the character Michael Scott from the show. The movie stars his office colleagues and is a bizarre James Bond style thriller. It features the character Jim Halpert as the villain Goldenface. I thought to draw it and that's what I did. The drawing was done with multi colour ballpoint pen (I bought this very plasticy 10 colour pen recently from Amazon) and a bit of Gelly Roll pen, on A6 sketchpad.Yesterday I had posted a couple of photos and the scan of the drawing by itself. Now here is a fake poster that I made based on it.Swipe to see a version of the poster without the grungy paper texture, and some in progress pictures as well.#pixel2xl #teampixel #canon #200d #50mm #karthikabhiram#dailymoviesketch #theoffice #dundermifflin #threatlevelmidnight#michaelscott #michaelscarn #goldenface#ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing @instagram #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad #thisweekoninstagram #bornoninstagram#584 / 24-Apr-21

I am looking forward to "A Quiet Place II" which should hopefully be released this year.#canon #200d #50mm #karthikabhiram#dailymoviesketch #theoffice #dundermifflin #threatlevelmidnight#michaelscott #michaelscarn #goldenface#ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing @instagram #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad #thisweekoninstagram #bornoninstagram#584 / 24-Apr-21

The Office (2005-2013)Developed by Greg DanielsAs I mentioned before I started watching "The Office" on @primevideoin a few weeks back and am now at Season 7. I am enjoying the show and really like the writing and character development. Initially, on watching the first (short 6 episode) season, I didn't like the show that much and didn't see why it was so famous. One can observe how they subtly tweaked the main character of Michael Scott to make him more likeable as the seasons progressed. There is a YouTube video I later saw, that actually says that this was a deliberate choice by the showrunners after Season 1.I drew Jenna Fischer's character Pam from the show. This was done with 0.5mm 4B mechanical pencil on A6 sketchbook. Swipe to see a scan. Also, this is a camera photo as opposed to a phone one.#canon #200d #50mm#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#theoffice #theofficeus #dundermifflin #pambeesly#jennafischer#pencildrawing@instagram #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad #thisweekoninstagram #bornoninstagram#583 / 17-Apr-21

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)Created by Malcolm SpellmanThere are only two episodes left, of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", and I'm eagerly looking forward to how they will wrap up the story of the show. After Steve Rogers gives his Captain America shield to Sam Wilson at the end of "Avengers: Endgame", Sam gives it over to the US Government at the beginning of this show. And the Government brings in John Walker as the new Captain America. They have done some very interesting things with this character in the show, won't get into the details because that'll be spoilery. The character is played by Wyatt Russell (Kurt Russell's son), and he is excellent in the role.I drew John Walker from the fourth episode. The drawing was done with multi colour ballpoint pen on A6 sketchbook. Swipe to see a scan. The pen was an impulse purchase from Amazon, a very plasticy pen but it has 10 colours.#thefalconandthewintersolider#pixel2xl #teampixel #karthikabhiram#dailymoviesketch#captainamerica #johnwalker #ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing@instagram #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad #thisweekoninstagram#bornoninstagram#582 / 15-Apr-21

𝙎𝘾𝘼𝙉𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝘿𝙍𝘼𝙒𝙄𝙉𝙂𝙎 — 2/2 — Since I have now got myself a new personal laptop and have access to Photoshop and my scanner again, I spent some time and scanned all the artworks that I did for the past few weeks. There are 18 drawings, so they go well with two carousel posts — each with a collage for the first slide and the nine individual drawings following. For the past few years, I have been accustomed to scanning my artworks and posting them, since I believe this makes for a better presentation compared to photos. Plus, I use these scans for making prints. I used to post scans exclusively on @dailymoviesketch, but when I moved to posting all my content on this @karthikabhiram account, I still continued with posting scans along with pictures. The scans typically would be the second slide in the carousel post, simply because the pictures go better with the overall feed. I've missed posting these scans, so now I'm glad I'm able to post them again. In this set —• Two drawings of Andy Samberg as Jake Peralta from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" • Quick pencil sketches of @mipalkarofficial and @daniellasalvi• Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero from the upcoming "Mortal Kombat" movie• Steve Carell as Michael Scott from "The Office" (I am now on Season 5 Episode 18)• Agnes from "WandaVision"• Uma Thurman as The Bride from "Kill Bill Vol 2" (5 years of @dailymoviesketch)• Baron Zemo from "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier"#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#brooklynninenine #theoffice #michaelscott #tfatws #zemodancing #agathaallalong@instagram #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad#pencil #pencilart #ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing

The Falcon and the Winter Solider (2021)Created by Malcolm SpellmanI have been watching "The Falcon and the Winter Solider" on @disneyplushotstarpremium and it is a very good show. Marvel Studios have been doing very interesting things with their TV shows. "WandaVision" was an experimental show, this one feels like its cut from the same cloth as "Captain America: The Winter Solider" and "Captain America: Civil War". Both are very well made with amazing production values (I believe the shows' budgets are comparable to those of the big screen movies) and they feel they are part of the MCU (they feel different from the shows by Marvel Television). These shows are part of Phase 4 of the MCU, and I wonder how they will bring people up to speed on the events of these shows in the big screen movies (not everyone may have access, and watch these shows). Fortunately, in India we have access to Disney Plus content through Hotstar. I'm looking forward to "Loki" as well! This show finds Sam Wilson and Bucky teaming up to stop a group of revolutionaries called the Flag Smashers, in a post-Blip world (after Thanos's Snap was reversed). There is a new Captain America, John Walker and Baron Zemo is also involved in the story. Wyatt Russell (Kurt Russell's son) is excellent as the new Captain America, and the show is doing some very interesting things with his character (especially in Episode 4). Daniel Brühl is also amazing as Zemo.I drew Baron Zemo with his mask from Episode 3. The drawing was done with multi colour ballpoint pen on an A6 sketchpad.I will make a couple of posts tomorrow and the day after, with scans of the recent drawings I did (with new laptop, now I can scan things again).#pixel2xl #teampixel#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#thefalconandthewintersolider#tfatws #baronzemo #zemodance#581 / 11-Apr-21

New laptop after 5 years — Lenovo Yoga 9i! There was an issue with my older one, which I was told it wasn't possible to fix, hence, I got a new machine. I will now be able to post scans of my artworks (Photoshop and Lightroom are back) which I haven't been able to do for a while now. It will take a bit of time, but what I am planning to do is to post sets of the scans at a time (two posts with 8/9 artworks each).I can also now get back to watching movies and shows on a bigger screen rather than on phone!#pixel2xl #teampixel#karthikabhiram

𝟓 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐃𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐄 𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐓𝐂𝐇 — 4 April 2016 was when I started an account exclusively for movie related sketches — @dailymoviesketch. When the account started, I actually drew and posted sketches every day for about 4 months. Later on it became one sketch every few days. Last year, I moved to posting all my content on this account only (even the movie sketches). However, all through, I've been regularly drawing and posting sketches, balancing this with my work schedule (which has only got more hectic year on year). I have been numbering the sketches from the very beginning and have continued the count even when posting here — and this current one is sketch number 580!So, that's around 100+ sketches that I have done every year, give or take!I'm happy to hit this milestone and am grateful for all the support from everyone who's following my work! My art has definitely improved a lot thanks to drawing regularly, that's also something I am really grateful for. Here's to more (and better) drawings in the future!–Kill Bill Vol 2 (2004)Directed by Quentin TarantinoMost of the yearly anniversaries of #dailymoviesketch have involved a Quentin Tarantino movie in some way or the other. For the fifth one I wanted to draw something related to 5, one option was to draw Jake Peralta from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" saying "Now Number 5" from the cold open scene where a criminal lineup sings Backstreet Boys' "I Want it That Way". But I've already drawn him recently, so I went with this — Uma Thurman from "Kill Bill Vol 2", and Pai Mei's Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique.Only Tarantino could write something so absurd (this technique when used on a person, makes their heart explode after they take five steps) and still make it so dramatic and emotional in the context of the scene it's in!The drawing was done with 0.5mm 4B pencil on A7 @menorah.in sketchbook.#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#pixel2xl #teampixel#pencilart#pencildrawing #menorahstationery#killbill #quentintarantino#580 / 4-Apr-21

DIY Pasta from @_mageiros_ — I had the opportunity to try this pasta yesterday, and really liked it! One can order these by DMing their page, it would come with the pasta and sauce, and instructions for preparation. It's the first time I'm trying something like this! Here are some photos that I shot yesterday. #pixel2xl #teampixel #karthikabhiram
