I watched Drishyam (2013) and Drishyam 2: The Resumption (2021) back to back yesterday and enjoyed the movies greatly! What stood out to me most was the deft writing, the inventiveness of it all, the way so many things were set up and paid off and how Jeethu Joseph controlled the information he was giving to the audience at every stage. Of course the acting was great and all the other filmmaking aspects were also really good. I'm very glad I watched the movies back to back because they work better that way. I drew Mohanlal from both movies in ballpoint pen using colours I don't use that often.
