Drawing "Thing" from the "Wednesday" show. Though the character is just a hand they gave it a lot of personality in the show! Thing was achieved by actor @victor.dorobantu's hand with makeup and prosthetics applied, and with the rest of him painted out with VFX. This is a small drawing done with ballpoint pen on A6 Campap sketchbook. Also, this shot of Thing giving the finger to someone very much reminded me of the scene from "Evil Dead II" where Ash saws off his possessed hand — which then proceeds to run about and shows him the finger. #karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch #reels #ballpointpenart

Attended a Light Painting Workshop by @paint.the.dark in association with @fujifilmxindia today. It was a very insightful workshop! Photo Vlog for yesterday — met @mahartified near office, afterwards left by around 8:40 PM, took the Metro all the way till Uppal station, walked to DSL Mall and reached by 9:40 PM. Had usual Burrito Bowl, followed by watching "Avatar: The Way of Water" 10:30 PM, got home by around 3 AM. Top Nine 2022 • Some years back there were these websites where you could generate your "Top Nine" Grid, containing your most Liked Posts. For the last couple of years that's not been there because Instagram itself has introduced new content types like Reels, and also there are multiple metrics that come into play now. So now we would have to generate these from within the app itself. Here's mine as of 16 Dec 2022, I set the time period as a year and got all content types sorted by Reach, and Posts sorted by Likes and Reach. I wish these metrics were much better obviously but that's out of one's control. I'll do this again at the end of this month and if there are any major changes, I'll post another Reel. #karthikabhiram #endof2022

I'm not against AI Art • @karthikabhiram • Of late there has been a lot of conversation on the topic of people using AI tools to generate art, and a movement also to Say No to AI art. Personally, I am not against it. With all due respect, I understand the opposing viewpoints and concerns but I'm more fascinated than anything else, and I think the tech itself is not to be faulted. As with any technology, it can be misused. I wrote quite a long piece about it and it exceeds the caption limit, so I've included it as slides in this Post.
