The Gray Man (2022)Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo"Hello my sexy Tamil friend."Apparently one of Netflix's most expensive productions, this was a highly anticipated movie from "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame" directors The Russo Brothers, and its script is also by those movies' writers. It has a nice cast too and I'm always one who likes action thrillers like this, so, despite the mixed reviews it's been getting, I was excited to watch it.I watched the movie last night and it was pretty decent, I did like it. I can see the reason for the mixed reviews — I found it strangely not as involving as it could have been, despite the stars and the filmmaking talent. Perhaps that's due to the script and dialogue (some of which sounded just off). Also, we have seen all of this before — shady government types send an assassin after one of their own, all of who are after a MacGuffin, so maybe that familiarity also worked against it.Usually in a movie of this type I'd appreciate the visuals but in this case I felt the murky cinematography actually did the movie a bit of a disservice (Stephen Windon is the DP for some of the "Fast and Furious" movies which are brightly lit, so the dark visuals here were by intent). Also there was this fake bokeh and shake which distracted from the action choreography. Dhanush thankfully appeared in more than one scene (he was only there in one shot in the trailer so I was worried that he would be in just one scene) but didn't have a major role.Having said all this I still liked the movie for its action which was entertaining, it had a relatively straightforward story which made it very easy to watch, and the way Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana De Armas owned their roles made it worthwhile for me. Now where is our crossover of this with "Extraction"?I drew Ryan as Sierra Six and Chris as the villainous Lloyd from the movie, it was done with 0.5 mm 4B pencil. Lokiverse (2022) [Kaithi (2019) × Vikram (2022)]Directed by Lokesh KanagarajSometime back, @anirudhofficial released the soundtrack to "Vikram" on different platforms, and we could finally listen to the background music tracks and not just the songs. I realised that the music I knew as "Rolex BGM" from the low quality uploads on YouTube, was actually two tracks — "Lokiverse" and "Rolex Theme".So, the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe has an actual name now. Earlier this month, "Vikram" was released on @disneyplushotstar as well and I was looking forward to rewatching it. I couldn't do so last weekend but did it now. And this time, I watched both "Kaithi" and "Vikram" (the two Lokiverse movies) back to back and totally loved the experience! I loved "Kaithi" when I watched it earlier, and second time round, it's still a fantastic movie. However for "Vikram" I found that my appreciation for the movie increased when watched the second time, especially watching it just after "Kaithi". The connections between the two movies are more cohesive and they fit together very nicely. Last time I was of the opinion that "Vikram" could have been trimmed a little, but that opinion has changed now. I would highly recommend watching (or rewatching) both movies one after the other — they are both excellent, well made and engaging films.I had one page of my A5 notebook ready and was making these quick sketches while watching both movies. They are all done with Bic Fine and multi colour ballpoint pens. The Rolex dialogue is from the uncut scene (which you can find on YouTube).Swipe to see a scan and other related pictures. The first and the last slide are shot on different devices though they look identical – former is with Canon 200D and 24mm 2.8 lens and the last one is with @samsungwithgalaxy #S22 3X telephoto lens. All other photos are with the phone.#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#lokiverse #kaithi #vikram #vikramhitlist#kamalhaasan #lokeshkanagaraj #rolex #karthi #suriya#ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing #ballpointpenart@bic_group#677 / 17-Jul-22

Seinfeld (1989-98)Created by Larry David and Jerry SeinfeldWith the launch of the @nothing Phone (1) yesterday, there have been a bunch of YouTube videos that have come out reviewing the phone, and they all have at least one mandatory pun about the company's name. @dbrand even released a set of skins for other phones (most notably the iPhone line), called "Something". I thought of "Seinfeld" which is famously known as the show about nothing, and the character George, who is known to come up with strange names. So I thought to do a sketch combining these ideas. This was done with Bic ballpoint pen on A5 notebook. You can swipe to see a scan. The phone itself is apparently a well designed mid range device, with good specs and a near stock Android experience for the price (in India I believe the base model will sell for ₹32999). The design element that sets this apart from other Android phones is the Glyph interface which is basically a set of LEDs on the back of the device. To me, this is more something fancy, but probably something that I would use.I suppose one would have to wait for some time for the real world reviews to come out before deciding whether to get it or not. And if one already has a flagship Android or an iPhone, they wouldn't be in the target market for this device.#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#seinfeld #george #georgecostanza #nothing #nothingphone #nothingphone1#youtube #ballpointpen #ballpointpenart #ballpointpendrawing#bic #bicpen @bic_group#676 / 16-Jul-22

A simple idea which I came across a few days ago, and which I've been using since. You can overlay an image using an image sticker, on top of a shared Post in Stories and stretch it to the full screen area. The post underneath the image will still be clickable. You can get creative with this by positioning the Post where you want it to be clicked and by using GIFs on top of the image as well. #karthikabhiram #Reels #storyidea #howto #tutorial
