The Boys (2019-)Developed by Eric KripkeOf late I have been seeing these memes featuring The Deep from the show "The Boys", so for @aninchaugust #aninchaugust #aninchaugust2022, I thought I would draw these frames myself and make a meme template. So, here it is! This was done with 0.5 mm 4B mechanical pencil on A5 Brustro sketchbook. You can swipe to see a scan, a meme and the blank template too.The show is brilliant, I love it for its dark humour, the extreme violence, blood and gore and adult content. It's also very well written, especially in Season 3, I felt each episode had surprises for us and you never knew where it was going. Actor Chace Crawford does really well as the character The Deep, I think it's not that easy playing this character as he is essentially an idiot.#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#theboys #thedeep #deepthoughtswiththedeep#miniatureart #pencil #pencildrawing #pencilsketch#686 / 13-Aug-22

Some days back I had posted a set of 10 B&W photos of Metro train windows, and some asked how it was done so I thought I would post this behind the scenes Reel. After getting down from the train, I stand in front of the window and shoot a photo similar to the image I started with, here. Then I use the Rotation and Perspective Correction tools in Snapseed to get the framing the way I want.Sometimes the starting picture wouldn't be as nicely framed as it is here and I would have to drastically crop in (but you would be surprised as to what you can get away with). As I mentioned, you only will have a few seconds to shoot the picture, and if you have to get more than one, you have to wait for the next train to stop.#karthikabhiram @samsungwithgalaxy #withgalaxy #S22 #Reels #behindthescenes #howto #streetphotography #hellohyderabad #hellofrom Hyderabad India

Weekend sketches for @aninchaugust #aninchaugust #aninchaugust2022 — I watched "Bullet Train" and "DC League of Super-Pets" on Thursday and Friday, so made sketches based on them. Also, @aninchaugust announced Weekend Prompts for sketches, and this weekend's was 'Monsoon' suggested by @rad_art_1, so I drew water droplets for it. And, I watched the show "The Sandman" over the weekend so drew that too. These were all done with 0.5 mm 4B mechanical pencil on A5 Brustro sketchbook. You can swipe to see scans and other related pictures. Bullet Train (2022)Directed by David LeitchI liked the movie, it was flashy, colourful and a lot of fun. The action scenes were very nicely done. The story elements are familiar, but it's engaging enough and the convoluted plot probably means that one would enjoy it better on second viewing. There were a lot of laughs and some creative kills and violence, which was much appreciated.#683 / 6-Aug-22DC League of Super-Pets (2022)Directed by Jared SternThe movie was amusing and cute but I didn't find it as funny as say, "The Lego Batman Movie". The voice cast is interesting and the animation is good, but overall the movie wasn't remarkable for me. Also I think if one doesn't have a background of the characters, one would appreciate it even less.#684 / 6-Aug-22The Sandman (2022)Developed by Neil Gaiman, David S Goyer, Allan HeinbergThis 10 episode series is an adaptation of the comic written by Neil Gaiman. Out of the 75 issues of the comic I have read some 20 issues years ago. The series is a faithful adaptation while still being its own thing, the production values are amazing and it's very dark and engaging. The cinematography is interesting, it looks like they shot it with wide anamorphic lenses but the frames seem more squished vertically and have a softer look to them. I loved the show!#685 / 7-Aug-22#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch #pencilart #miniatureart

Sketch for "Monsoon", the weekend prompt for @aninchaugust #aninchaugust #aninchaugust2022 suggested by @rad_art_1. I had this idea to draw real water droplets so splashed some on paper, I didn't realise it would absorb the water so fast and dry up Anyway I made do with whatever I had. There are a couple more sketches on this paper only, once I complete them I will post. #karthikabhiram #pencil #pencilartwork #pencildrawing

Watched "Bullet Train" and "DC League of Super-Pets" on Thursday and Friday at PVR ICON Hitech City. These are some photos from both the days. I liked "Bullet Train" better because of its action. Though "Super-Pets" was amusing I felt it wasn't as funny as say, "The Lego Batman Movie". Couple of notable shots in this set — there was one person who was working on laptop in the movie theatre, one shot of me which was shot using @xiaomiindia Mi Band 6 as a trigger to press the Shutter button, and a list of 'Production Pets' listed in the end credits of the latter movie. #karthikabhiram @samsungwithgalaxy #withgalaxy #S22 #vsco #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad

AI Generated Images through Midjourney — Of late, there have been these AI tools that take prompts that one can give, and generate images based on those. DALL-E and Midjourney are the two projects I am aware of. I first heard of the former through a video by @mkbhd and there is a free to use 'Mini' version with which I made a Reel myself (I asked it to generate a poster for RRR painted by the legendary movie poster artist @drewstruzanart for example). The latter, I had heard because of @rob_sheridan and his project @volstofresearch, where he has used this tool to generate cosmic horror themed imagery and constructed a narrative out of it. These tools were in restricted testing and not open to all till now, recently, through @vsnu's Story I came to know that one can try out a demo of Midjourney. You have to set up a Discord account and then sign in at the Midjourney site, and then you can type in /imagine and then the AI will generate images based on what you type. Here is a set of images generated through it. The first few are sketches of me in the style of Moebius (why? I haven't read much of the actual comics work by him but am always fascinated by his art style, and I thought to use these as profile pictures hence the inclusion of myself), there's one where the prompt was "karthikabhiram from hyderabad with tea" and the last ones are KGF 2 in the style of Moebius. There is a limit on the number of images that can be generated during a free trial after which you have to take a paid subscription (I have exhausted mine).I find this absolutely fascinating, and as I understand, the way these tools work is, it starts with a random dot pattern, and then the AI keeps evolving it till it reaches close to its understanding of the prompt description.#karthikabhiram #midjourney #ai #art #moebius
