Watched "Bullet Train" and "DC League of Super-Pets" on Thursday and Friday at PVR ICON Hitech City. These are some photos from both the days. I liked "Bullet Train" better because of its action. Though "Super-Pets" was amusing I felt it wasn't as funny as say, "The Lego Batman Movie". Couple of notable shots in this set — there was one person who was working on laptop in the movie theatre, one shot of me which was shot using @xiaomiindia Mi Band 6 as a trigger to press the Shutter button, and a list of 'Production Pets' listed in the end credits of the latter movie. #karthikabhiram @samsungwithgalaxy #withgalaxy #S22 #vsco #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad

AI Generated Images through Midjourney — Of late, there have been these AI tools that take prompts that one can give, and generate images based on those. DALL-E and Midjourney are the two projects I am aware of. I first heard of the former through a video by @mkbhd and there is a free to use 'Mini' version with which I made a Reel myself (I asked it to generate a poster for RRR painted by the legendary movie poster artist @drewstruzanart for example). The latter, I had heard because of @rob_sheridan and his project @volstofresearch, where he has used this tool to generate cosmic horror themed imagery and constructed a narrative out of it. These tools were in restricted testing and not open to all till now, recently, through @vsnu's Story I came to know that one can try out a demo of Midjourney. You have to set up a Discord account and then sign in at the Midjourney site, and then you can type in /imagine and then the AI will generate images based on what you type. Here is a set of images generated through it. The first few are sketches of me in the style of Moebius (why? I haven't read much of the actual comics work by him but am always fascinated by his art style, and I thought to use these as profile pictures hence the inclusion of myself), there's one where the prompt was "karthikabhiram from hyderabad with tea" and the last ones are KGF 2 in the style of Moebius. There is a limit on the number of images that can be generated during a free trial after which you have to take a paid subscription (I have exhausted mine).I find this absolutely fascinating, and as I understand, the way these tools work is, it starts with a random dot pattern, and then the AI keeps evolving it till it reaches close to its understanding of the prompt description.#karthikabhiram #midjourney #ai #art #moebius

Would this be called a 'boxing' video since it's going in reverse? I bought this sketchbook in 2018 and I opened it only now 😀

The Office (2005-13)Created by Greg Daniels"The worst thing about prison was the… was the Dementors."I was not sure of what sketch to make for today's @aninchaugust #aninchaugust #aninchaugust2022 entry, so I went back to something that I always wanted to draw, Prison Mike from "The Office", this is where Steve Carell as Michael Scott pretends to be a prisoner to convice the rest of the Office staff that prison is bad. The drawing is one inch square done with 0.5 mm 4B mechanical pencil, colour part is wit ballpoint pen. Swipe to see a scan. Also, swipe to see two artworks made on Instagram Stories, one done a couple of days back and the other last year at around this same time.#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch #theoffice #michaelscott#prisonmike #pencil #pencilart #pencildrawing #sketch #pencilsketch#miniatureart #artistsoninstagram#682 / 4-Aug-22

Two one inch sketches for @aninchaugust #aninchaugust #aninchaugust2022 — of @picturesofmac and @mkbhd. This time, I thought I'll include more drawings of content creators and known people.Marques Brownlee a.k.a. MKBHD is one of the tech YouTubers I've followed for a very long time and I really like his videos for their research, presentation style and no-nonsense approach. The production value is very high, his videos are shot with RED 8K Cinema cameras. Mac, is their studio dog (owned by one of his crew members) and is very adorable. One of my favourite videos on MKBHD's channel is the "Mac Review" which he did as an April Fool's joke where he reviewed Mac as if he was reviewing a tech product. Spoiler: Mac got a rating of 11/10.I thought it would be nice to draw both of them. Both are done with 0.5mm 4B mechanical pencil and the colour for Mac's fur is added with orange ballpoint pen. You can swipe to see scanned versions. These are the first two drawings in a new sketchbook (since the A5 notebook I was using is almost complete). This is a Brustro A5 160 GSM book that I ordered in 2018, and opened the package now only (as in the interim time I've used other sketchbooks including other size books by Brustro).#karthikabhiram #pencilart #pencilartwork #pencildrawing #pencil #miniatureart #mkbhd #youtube #youtuber #Mac #dogsofinstagram

Two entries for @aninchaugust #aninchaugust #aninchaugust2022 — This year I started doing sketches for this art challenge early, and you can see those in two earlier posts. The first sketch done actually in August though, is the miniature drawing you see of @mipalkarofficial. The other one is from the movie "Master" where you very briefly see the director @lokesh.kanagaraj in the last scene. Both drawings were done with 0.5mm 4B mechanical pencil. Lokesh was drawn on A5 notebook and the Mithila sketch is in an A7 @menorah.stationery sketchbook. You can swipe to see scans of both drawings and also a meme that I made.#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#pencilartwork #pencil #pencildrawing #pencilart#master #lokeshkanagaraj #mithilapalkar#memes #memesimadeMaster (2021)Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj#681 / 31-Jul-22
