Visited @rad_art_1’s @masterclassartacademy today along with @tiny.sharma10 and @mangopenciler2.0. Had a really nice time and all of us drew our versions of @rainnwilson as Dwight Schrute from @theoffice. The plan is to combine all the sketches into a collage once they’re all done and scanned. Also pictured, @tiny.sharma10 with a t-shirt print of my Jake Peralta artwork 😀 We also got to see some of the projects and artworks in progress at the academy, and met instructor @bn.guru as well. The place has real positive vibes. Definitely do check out their offerings in terms of online and offline art classes! @apple #iphone12mini #vsco #shotoniphone #karthikabhiram

Visited @crumbled.cheese Pizzeria for lunch today and shot a few photos. Really enjoyed the food, here are some pictures of the food and of the place itself, all as symmetrical as I could get them to be. @apple #iphone12mini #vsco #hellohyderabad #shotoniphone #karthikabhiram

𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐔𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 — A novel by Quentin Tarantino — It has been a long, long time that I've read any books, 15 years maybe? The last books I'd read would have been a bunch of famous graphic novels. As a kid I used to read a lot (science fiction, thriller, mystery, it has always been fiction only, never non-fiction) but then I gradually stopped and movies and media took over. I consume a lot of content though — but not storytelling in this format. However, this book is something I wanted to have, so I ordered it from Amazon for ₹499. I liked Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" a lot, so a novel adapted from his own story and movie seemed to be something worth checking out! Tarantino has himself said that he would retire from filmmaking after making his tenth movie, and perhaps write novels.I started reading the book, it's written in a style as if Tarantino is narrating a screenplay to you (present continuous tense), and I think this is like getting an extended cut of the movie with more background given for the characters! Here are a few photos, you can see one of my one-inch square sketches based on the movie as well, and some stickers that I ordered from @how2drao in one of the slides. The laddoo is a festival special — Happy Festival greetings to all!@apple #iphone12mini #shotoniphone#karthikabhiram #flatlay #zuvamart#onceuponatimeinhollywood#bookstagram #hellohyderabad

The Matrix Resurrections (2021)Directed by Lana WachowskiThe fourth "Matrix" movie, being released 18 years after Part 3, is coming to theatres and HBO Max on 22-Dec-21. And the first trailer for the movie is due to drop on 9-Sep-21 at 6:28 PM India Time. There was a post to this effect on @thematrixmovie, which I shared on Story. @kashyapchandra sent a link for a 4K version of the trailer for the original 1999 "The Matrix", which brought back a lot of memories, and because of that, I went to the website whatisthematrix.com (which in the early days of movie websites, was very innovative in its design and content). Imagine my surprise, when I realised that there was a teaser showing footage from the upcoming trailer, on the website!Once you visit the website, you are shown two pills — a red and a blue, clicking on each one shows you a different teaser trailer. And if you click on the pills multiple times, you view slightly different versions of the trailer each time. So novel — the trailers appear to be dynamically generated, using a combination of some shots that are static, others being picked at random from a list. The teasers also use the current system time, which is weaved into the narration! It's a brilliant use of modern web technologies to deliver an experience and build hype for the trailer! I spent some time screenshotting images from the footage and drew Keanu Reeves from the movie (he looks more like John Wick here, than Neo).I wanted to post this before the trailer was actually released! The drawing is done with 0.5 mm 4B mechanical pencil on A5 notebook from @themedschoolstudent.store. Swipe to see a scan.@kashyapchandra and I discussed on how many unique teaser trailer combinations would be possible, depending on which pill is clicked and at which time of day. I posted an analysis on Story, which I'm including in this post too. The write-up I did about the 4K trailer also is included as a slide.#canon #5dmarkiii #50mm#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#thematrixresurrections #thematrix4#thematrixtrailer #keanureeves#608 / 9-Sep-21

Four “half and half” photos, with the images being split perfectly in the centre. Been a while since I posted pictures like this! Which one is your favourite? 🌗 @apple #iphone12mini #shotoniphone @vsco #vsco #hellohyderabad #karthikabhiram

@aninchaugust #aninchaugust #aninchaugust2021 Entries —Posting a collage of my works this year for the #aninchaugust Challenge by @tiny.sharma10 and @meghalika. The aim of the challenge is to do miniature artworks, in the space of one square inch. This is the fourth year that I'm participating in the challenge and I think this time, I have been able to do more drawings than in previous years. Counting a few entries that I did towards the end of July, I have done 17 sketches for the challenge this year. The rose at the top left was done during a demo session of @masterclassartacademy and is bigger than a square inch but I added it to balance out the collage. All of the others are done with pencil or ballpoint pen in the required size. You can scroll through my previous posts to check these artworks in more detail. This is a non-carousel post after a long time (also, this is breaking the checkerboard pattern I've been keeping on the feed for the last few weeks).#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch #miniatureart #ballpointpen #pencildrawing
