Quick Sketches done Live — I did a Live session today in which I drew 4 people from the audience — @nischal_97, @that_potato_gorl, @tarunkappala and @alekhya_mamidi. Unfortunately the video didn't get saved nor did I get the option to post on IGTV (strange) so, all I have is a short sketchbook flip through that I filmed, which I posted on Reel in a sped up version. Posting the longer version here along with the scanned versions of the sketches. The video has other sketches as well, plus one sketch of @danishsait that you would not have seen before (since I did it just before the Live session). I'll post that as well, in some time. I did these sketches with a 2mm 2B lead in a @staedtler lead holder, on A6 sketchbook (inspired by @devonrodriguezart). These drawings took around 15 minutes each. #pencilart #karthikabhiram

WandaVision (2021)Created by Jac SchaefferThe first two episodes of this new limited series "WandaVision" were released on @disneyplushotstar a few days ago and I watched them. It has Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Wanda and Vision, caught in what appears to be an alternate reality resembling that of a TV sitcom. From the trailers, it looks like they are going to be cycling through different decades, the first two are set in the 1950s/60s, and the look is emulated very well, with the 1.33:1 aspect ratio, the B&W cinematography, the laugh tracks, the sets and even the accents of the characters. There is a sense of mystery to it all, though, since we and even the central characters are not aware of what is happening and how they ended up in this alternate reality (if that's what it is in the first place).I liked the first two episodes, looking forward to watching the rest as they are released.I drew Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda from the show. This was drawn with @staedtler 2mm lead holder with 2B lead on an A6 size sketchbook. This is the drawing I was doing on my Instagram Live session yesterday, thanks to everyone who joined. I was experimenting with going Live on two phones so that there will be two camera angles to watch me draw. The experiment wasn't entirely successful since the video quality on the saved Live (to IGTV) wasn't good and there was this annoying ringing echo sound (on a video call you can mute and reduce the volume on one device, not sure how to replicate that on IG Live). So a few days back Samsung launched their new series of flagship phones, the Galaxy S21 lineup — the S21, the S21+ and the S21 Ultra. The tech that Samsung has built into these phones is great. I have used Samsung phones (flagships at the time, the S5 and S7) for several years in the past and they are very well built and have excellent camera systems. From the new phones, the S21 Ultra seems the most exciting for me, with the 108 MP camera and the other telephoto cameras and ultrawide. It can also do 8K video and apparently Samsung has made more improvements to their Exynos processor (the Indian version of the phones will be powered by the Exynos chip I suppose, like the other phones were). They have also tweaked their OneUI so I think the Ultra will be the best of the best. I always look forward to these and the topic this month is to draw objects. Tribhanga (2021)Directed by Renuka ShahaneA few days back @netflix_in posted a photo from the upcoming film "Tribhanga", starring @mipalkarofficial, and captioned it saying that they are now a "Mithila Palkar's Hair fan page", and for some time, their bio was also changed to that.
