The Girl in the Spider's Web (2018)Directed by Fede AlvarezThe trailer for the follow up to David Fincher's 2011 adaptation of Stieg Larsson's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" was released recently. I was a fan of the original, and liked the Swedish adaptations of the "Millennium Trilogy" as well. The heroine, Lisbeth Salander played by Noomi Rapace in the Swedish films and Rooney Mara in Fincher's adaptation is a very interesting character. For quite some time, there was no word on a sequel to Fincher's movie. Now we have this adaptation of the novel by David Lagercrantz, directed by Fede Alvarez (director of 2013's "Evil Dead" and "Don't Breathe"). It stars Claire Foy as Lisbeth. The trailer was good, and I thought they did a very good job of emulating the look established by Fincher. Of course, I am sure Alvarez will bring his style to it. I'm looking forward to watching the movie when it's released in November.I hope it will be released theatrically here – unlike the first movie which didn't get a theatre release because the studio was unwilling to censor some of the more disturbing scenes in the movie. My opinion is always that movies should be released uncut if they have an "A" certificate, because that certification itself means that only adults are supposed to watch it.I drew Claire Foy as Lisbeth from a scene in the trailer. The drawing was done with 0.5mm 2B pencil and @prismacolor pencils on Brustro sketchbook and scanned.#353 / 12-Jun-18
