The session would be open to anyone interested, however the thing that I would want in return, is that the participants contribute to Covid relief in some way. Here I'm announcing the session, which is this Sunday, 30-May-21, at 4 PM. It will be about 1-1.5 hours long and the Registration Link is in my bio. Please fill up the form if you would like to register, and I will subsequently send the participants the Google Meet Link on the day of the session. I promise to make the session as informative and useful as I can!For the contribution itself, I suggest a minimum amount of INR 200, and the contribution could be to any fundraiser, charity or it could be even to support a known person/family who needs it. You need not disclose the particulars while registering, all I would want is that a contribution be made.In case you don't have any particular fundraisers in mind, you could look at Give India, Goonj or Hemkunt Foundation. You can look them up online and make a contribution.@karthikabhiram #karthikabhiram

๐™Ž๐™๐™‹๐™€๐™ ๐˜ฝ๐™‡๐™Š๐™Š๐˜ฟ ๐™ˆ๐™Š๐™Š๐™‰ โ€” Today (26 May), there was supposed to be a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse, and it was also a Super Blood Moon. In Hyderabad, I looked up that it was possible to observe a partial eclipse between around 6:45 PM to 7:20 PM. I did go upstairs at that time, however, there were clouds so I wasn't able to see the moon. The clouds cleared up at around 7:30 PM or so. So, while I was not able to see the eclipse (had there not been clouds, I guess it would still have just been a faint shadow on a part of the moon), I did take some interesting pictures of the full moon. Thanks to the clouds and the glow around the moon, it was something different from the pictures I've posted in the past, which pretty much all look the same. These pictures were shot between around 7:30 PM to 8 PM. The pictures in the carousel are not in chronological order, the second picture without any clouds is actually the most recent one (the more the clouds covering the moon, the earlier the picture was). All but one of these shots are with Canon 200D, 55-250mm lens. Various settings were used depending on the lighting. The last one in the set is a phone picture with Pixel 2 XL in Night Mode.#canon #200d #55250mm#supermoon #bloodmoon #superbloodmoon2021 #moon#lunareclipse#pixel2xl #teampixel#karthikabhiram

Since I like drawing memes, I thought he would be a good subject to draw so I did. The drawing was done with multi colour ballpoint pen and Gelly Roll pen on A6 sketchbook. You can swipe to see a scan. I think I may have gone a bit overboard on the shading which makes him look older than he actually is.I also took this opportunity to post an entry for @zuvamart's Quarantine Flatlay Challenge with the theme #bookstagram. I am not one who reads books (used to, as a kid, but not now). So, I don't have any books that I am reading currently to arrange in a flatlay. I could have probably used my copies of "Watchmen", but I have already done that a couple of years earlier. So I decided to use sketchbooks instead. You can never have too many sketchbooks! That is coffee and not tea in the photo. Also, after watching "Army of the Dead" I thought I'll shoot these pictures with 50mm lens. These are at f2 though, and that's the aperture that I always use on the f1.4 lens. Maybe I should post some shot at f1.4, let me see. The last picture is a phone BTS.#canon #5dmarkiii #50mm#karthikabhiram#khabylame #memes #memesimade#zuvamart #flatlay #flatlayindia@instagram #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad #thisweekoninstagram #bornoninstagram#ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing

New shirt, so took some pictures. These are all shot on phone and edited in VSCO. I also watched Zack Snyder's "Army of the Dead" yesterday and loved it, and had posted Stories based on it, so sharing them along with this post. I will plan to draw something based on the movie too. #pixel2xl #teampixel #karthikabhiram #armyofthedead

Entry for @zuvamart's Quarantine Flatlay Challenge with the theme #handsinframe. Been a while since we had a challenge like this so today I took this shot. Swipe to see the setup for the photo, and some trial attempts. I am drawing @khaby00 who went viral recently with videos making fun of how people do things in a needlessly complicated way. You can see a work in progress shot also. The BTS photos are with my camera, others are Pixel 2 XL pictures. You can see the two most used sketchbooks of mine (A6 pad and @menorah.stationery A7 book), along with Menorah Black Sketchbook. #pixel2xl #teampixel #karthikabhiram @handsinframe #zuvamart @hellohyderabad #hellohyderabad #flatlay

All of these were done with ballpoint pen and Gelly Roll pen on A6 or A7 sketchbook. All of these were done based on prompts of @100daysofsketchingofficial. For a few days I had done daily drawings but felt that wasn't sustainable for me, so I'll go back to my usual pace. I'll still try to do more frequent drawings though. In this set โ€”โ€ข George Clooney as Seth Gecko from "From Dusk Till Dawn"โ€ข Baby Yoda from "The Mandalorian"โ€ข The Quick Stop store from "Clerks"โ€ข ED-209 from Paul Verhoeven's "RoboCop"โ€ข Neo from "The Matrix" waking up in the real world#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#thematrix #clerks #starwars #starwarsday #babyyoda#ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing #ballpointpenart@instagram #hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad @keshrt #100daysofsketching #100days2021

I had drawn Steve Carell as Michael Scott from "The Office" and since I had earlier done a fake poster based on the fictional movie "Threat Level Midnight" by the character, I thought it's only right to attempt making a cover for the book by him. "Somehow I Manage" is the title and this is a cover. It's a little wider in size (that's what she said) than paperback dimensions should be, I only checked that later after finishing the image. Next thing I should attempt was suggested by @_mrin, an album cover for Straight Outta Scranton featuring Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute! I will see if I can make that sometime. #karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch #theoffice #theofficeus #michaelscott #stevecarell #somehowimanage

The Matrix (1999)Directed by The WachowskisFor the #100daysofsketching challenge prompt "Waking", I thought of the scene from "The Matrix" where Keanu Reeves's character is made to realise that he is living in a simulation and he is made to wake up in the real world. It seems in the original script, the machines enslave all the humans and put them in the Matrix so that they are used as a neural network for computing power. However apparently it was thought that audiences may not understand this and it was changed so that humans are used as a power source for the machines after we scorched the skies. The movie of course is a classic and though one may find flaws one can't deny the influence it has had on cinema! We're apparently getting "The Matrix 4" this year, let's see how it is.I drew Neo once he's woken up into the real world, the drawing was done with multi colour ballpoint pen and Gelly Roll pen on A7 @menorah.stationery sketchbook. I have a bunch of drawings that I am yet to scan, maybe I will do that today and post.#pixel2xl #teampixel#karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch#thematrix #neo #keanureeves#100daysofsketching #100days2021 @100daysofsketchingofficial @keshrt#ballpointpen #ballpointpendrawing#591 / 9-May-21
