The Matrix (1999)Directed by The WachowskisFor the #100daysofsketching challenge prompt "Waking", I thought of the scene from "The Matrix" where Keanu Reeves's character is made to realise that he is living in a simulation and he is made to wake up in the real world. It seems in the original script, the machines enslave all the humans and put them in the Matrix so that they are used as a neural network for computing power. However apparently it was thought that audiences may not understand this and it was changed so that humans are used as a power source for the machines after we scorched the skies. The movie of course is a classic and though one may find flaws one can't deny the influence it has had on cinema! We're apparently getting "The Matrix 4" this year, let's see how it is.I drew Neo once he's woken up into the real world, the drawing was done with multi colour ballpoint pen and Gelly Roll pen on A7 @menorah.stationery sketchbook.
