iPhone, Pixel, DSLR — Yesterday, I put up a little game on Stories, where I had posted Stories from both my phones and asked people to identify which was posted from Android and which was from iPhone. The devices can be told apart because of the fonts. Also in captions, iPhone generates the curved quotes and apostrophes whereas on Android it’s the straight ones by default (“ is iPhone and " is Android).I thought it would be interesting to do another experiment, this time with photos. For still photos, both the Pixel and iPhone cameras are fantastic but each handles the same scene in different ways and has a different approach to portrait mode. So, here are a set of 6 photos, two shot with DSLR (Canon 5D Mark III, 50mm at f2, shot in JPG as I always do), two with iPhone, and two with Pixel 2 XL (phone photos were shot in Portrait Mode). Can you identify which is which? All the pictures had exactly the same edits applied in VSCO.This is not intended to be a scientific comparison and I also don’t mean to say that one is better than the other! All of these are terrific cameras and I enjoy using each one of them. The burger and fries were ordered through Swiggy from @marleysjoint (interesting name).#karthikabhiram#iphone12mini #pixel2xl #canon #5dmarkiii #50mm #50mmphotography#teampixel #capturedoncanon #shotoniphone#cameracomparison#vsco #vscohyderabad @instagram @apple @googlepixel @canonasia#hellofrom Hyderabad India #hellohyderabad
