Entry for @mangopenciler2.0’s #drawwithmango challenge to do a self portrait as a human-animal hybrid, inspired by the show @sweettoothnetflix. About a month back I posted my first entry for the challenge and I thought of doing one more. Now rather than just do another drawing based on my own face I had this idea to use @faceapp’s AI generated female face as a reference. Maybe a weird idea but I thought it’s something different so I went ahead. Also this time I was not able to think of anything great for the animal part so I just added these antlers like one sees in the show promos (I have not watched it). What’s the flower on the page, you may ask — so, @rad_art_1 and her dad have started an Art Academy at Hyderabad (@masterclassartacademy) where they are offering offline as well as online art classes. On Saturday I had the opportunity to be part of a demo session and drew the rose as part of that. Both the drawings are done with ballpoint pen on A5 notebook from @themedschoolstudent.store. Swipe to see a scan. In the scan I moved the rose so that it’s centred, I think it makes for an interesting composition. The last slide has some of Faceapp’s scarily realistic outputs.
