Happy Death Day (2017)Directed by Christopher LandonI watched this movie a few weeks back on Netflix. I initially thought it would be one of those forgettable slasher movies, but as it turns out it's actually engaging and nicely made. Definitely a pleasant surprise.College student Tree (Jessica Rothe) is killed on her birthday, and is stuck in a time loop, forcing her to relive the day over and over, till she finds out who the killer is. It's an interesting premise and is well executed. I liked the touch of making the movie take more of a black comedy tone, which means you're not supposed to take it very seriously, and just enjoy yourself. The sequel "Happy Death Day 2U" is also good.I drew the Babyface killer from the movie. The drawing was done in a stippling style with a 0.1 Uni Pin fineliner on A6 sketchbook and scanned.
