[#DailyMovieSketch × #Inktober #Inktober2019] @inktoberKill Bill: Vol 2 (2004)Directed by Quentin TarantinoFor the Inktober prompt word "legend", I thought of the character Pai Mei from Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill". Pai Mei (played by Gordon Liu) is a legendary martial arts master who taught Bill in the movie, there is also a training montage sequence where he trains Uma Thurman's "The Bride" character. This is done in the style of 1970s/80s martial arts movies, wonderfully shot (the cinematography uses these whip pans, crash zooms, and is beautifully lit). One of Pai Mei's techniques is the "five point palm exploding heart technique", which sounds really absurd but is used to great dramatic effect in the movie. I absolutely love "Kill Bill". It was released as two movies, but intended to be one long story – called "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair" (I hope to see this integrated cut one day). I think it's one of Quentin Tarantino's best works.I drew Pai Mei from the movie, the drawing was done with @staedtlermars ballpoint pens on A6 Brustro sketchbook and scanned.#ballpointpen #inksketch #penandink#paimei #killbill #quentintarantino #inktoberindia#486 / 16-Oct-19
