Doomsday (2008)Directed by Neil MarshallSince the last sketch I did here was one from "Hellboy", I thought I'd revisit director Neil Marshall's earlier work, the 2008 post apocalyptic action movie "Doomsday". Taking inspiration from "Escape From New York" (there's a character named Carpenter in the movie!) and "Mad Max" (yes, there's also a character named Miller — after the directors if both those movies), this movie is about a squad of soldiers led by Eden Sinclair, who have to enter a walled-off Scotland, in hope of finding a cure to the Reaper virus, which threatens to decimate London.The movie has some good action scenes and has a good amount of blood and violence. It however was not successful when it was released.
