[#DrawWithMango × #DailyMovieSketch]During the major part of March, @mangopenciler had run an Art Challenge on #90sNostalgia, where the idea was to make art that reminded one of the 1990s. I loved the idea and decided to make sketches based on 1990s movies. The initial thought was to do one sketch of a movie from each year in the decade, however, it ended up slightly differently. I did 9 sketches overall, which you can see in this grid. The movies here are — • 1990 — Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles• 1991 — Terminator 2: Judgment Day• 1992 — Police Story 3: Super Cop• 1993 — Cliffhanger• 1994 — Léon a.k.a. The Professional• 1994 — The Mask• 1996 — From Dusk Till Dawn• 1997 — Face/Off• 1999 — Fight ClubI think I covered the major franchises, movie stars and popular movies of the time period. There are more movies that I could have done sketches of, of course. The 90s was a very nostalgic time period, a lot of movies are very close to me. So, now and then I'd rewatch an old favourite and do a sketch. Thanks to this theme, I got to rewatch some of these movies too, which was nice.The drawings were all done with ballpoint pen (the @ns1pen and Bic multi colour), a bit of Gelly Roll on A6 @brustro sketchbook by @creativehandsartmaterials and scanned.I'm posting on both my accounts — @dailymoviesketch gets the collage of the posts, whereas @karthikabhiram gets a photo of my phone with this collage.Waiting for the next theme!#karthikabhiram #ballpointpen #inksketch
