Reservoir Dogs (1992)Directed by Quentin TarantinoI know what you're thinking, there are no gorillas in "Reservoir Dogs", so how's this related? Well, this is actually based on the video for Harry Nilsson's "Coconut", the song that plays over the end credits of the movie. The video has three guys in gorilla suits playing music, one of them with an actual coconut.I actually wanted to draw this around Christmas time but was very busy with recruitment drives (till yesterday actually). This is because, "Reservoir Dogs" was the first Quentin Tarantino movie I saw, and it was at around this time in 1997, on STAR Movies back then. I liked the movie quite a bit, but it was probably over the next couple of years that I really grew to appreciate and love Tarantino's works. I am a huge fan of his movies and "Pulp Fiction" is one of my all time favourites. I love "Reservoir Dogs" as well – Tarantino's first film is funny, entertaining and very well made. My favourite scene was the one where Joe Cabot gives codenames to the Reservoir Dogs before their jewellery store robbery, which is never actually shown on screen. That was also the first time I heard this "Coconut" song and liked it a lot.#DailyMovieSketch #karthikabhiram #reservoirdogs #harrynilsson #coconut #putthelimeinthecoconut#406 / 29-Dec-18
