[#NOSPOILERS]Deadpool 2 (2018)Directed by David LeitchI've done multiple sketches based on this movie (almost everytime the studio released a trailer!), and was very excited to see it. Seen it twice so far, once yesterday and again this morning and I loved it.Time travelling soldier from the future, Cable (Josh Brolin) is wanting to kill a 14 year old mutant (Julian Dennison), and Deadpool must stop him. To do so, he puts together a team called the X-Force.This makes it sound like a run-of-the-mill sequel, but it's not. There are certain aspects of the story that are predictable (reminded me of one movie in particular, which I'll name in the first comment on this post), but the filmmakers find ways to subvert our expectations and add interesting elements to it. I thought it was well written (Ryan Reynolds is credited as co-writer this time). There's a lot to love about this movie – it's very, very entertaining with lots of jokes and references. It gets surprisingly emotional and touching at times too. The acting and soundtrack choices were great as well.Part 2 had almost double the budget of the first movie, and it shows – this feels more bigger and elaborate. I loved the violent and brutal action scenes, courtesy "John Wick" co-director David Leitch. They used Deadpool's regenerative powers in creative ways in the action scenes as well. There are a couple of blink-and-you'll-miss-it surprises, so do watch keenly. And there is a clever mid-credits scene (no post-credits scene). I loved the opening credits sequence too.Overall, I enjoyed the movie very much and I liked it better than the first film. Highly recommended watching. The version of the movie we got in India is rated "A" but I think it had only mild censorship, as far as I could tell. Only a couple of instances of muted dialogue, and I couldn't make out if any of the violence was cut. This is a sketch of Peter from the movie, who joins the X-Force team just after seeing the ad, though he doesn't have any superpowers (there is a Twitter and LinkedIn profile for Peter as well!). Drawn with 0.5mm 2B pencil and @Prismacolor pencils on Brustro sketchbook and scanned.#346 / 18-May-18
