Black Mirror: Season 4 (2017)Created by Charlie BrookerSeason 4 of this show comprising 6 episodes hit Netflix on 29-Dec-17. That was the day I was travelling back home from Singapore trip, and the next day I completed the entire season. Won't give any spoilers, but this season was excellent, like the ones before it and I enjoyed it a lot. "Black Mirror" in my opinion is one of the best TV shows I have ever seen. The title refers to the darkened screen of our electronic devices – like a phone or tablet. Each episode of this anthology format science fiction show features technology in some way, and manages to be satirical, funny, fascinating, involving and absolutely terrifying at the same time. Brooker says the tech in the show is never the antagonist, the situations are created by the characters. After the show got purchased by Netflix for 2016's Season 3, the production values only got better, and each episode feels like a feature film in itself. This season was also brilliant, with superbly made episodes and some excellent ideas. There is one episode directed by Jodie Foster, one by David Slade ("Hard Candy"). It was pointed out that in this season, all episodes have a female protagonist. Nothing much more to say, this is superb entertainment that needs to be watched. I can't recommend it highly enough. This is a sketch of Cristin Milioti as one of the characters from the first episode, "U S S Callister", which is a "Star Trek" inspired episode.
