AI Generated • Lost Videotapes and Merry Christmas! • More AI generated images using the Playground AI site, using Stable Diffusion. The theme here was 1970s to 1990s videotape box art for grindhouse-type X rated horror or action movies. Because of the square shape these look more like laserdisc art or album covers but they are still very interesting. The first one is supposed to be a Christmas themed movie. Using these AI tools is not as easy as it is made out to be. I guess with a paid subscription to Midjourney, one can generate more realistic images. However with the free versions of these tools, one has to generate potentially hundreds of images to get a few good ones, and I actually did.
