𝐘𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐚 • I liked the movie a lot! Samantha stars as Yashoda, a young woman in need of money who agrees to become a surrogate mother. She is taken to a surrogacy facility but gradually realises that something sinister is lurking beneath the surface. I love these thrillers where the protagonist is trapped in a facility or guarded place and the cracks begin to show (Gore Verbinski's A Cure for Wellness was the most recent of its type I saw), and so I had a great time with it. The movie kept throwing a lot of ideas our way in the first half and it was engaging always. After the interval mark, I felt it got a bit rushed and predictable, since if you've seen enough of this type of movie, you'll figure out where they are heading with it. You have to be on board and willing to suspend disbelief a bit. Samantha carried the movie really well in the lead role, the action scenes were good too.
