Watched "Thor: Love and Thunder" at @amb_cinemas last night and I had a great time watching the movie! I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. It was very entertaining and good natured, and so likeable. It didn't have much to do with the larger MCU and normally that would be a reason for me not to like it, but in this case I didn't mind. The story is simple and straightforward but I loved the experience. It's a classic rock inspired comedy adventure. I liked the way all the stars portrayed their characters.I loved the use of music, right from the opening studio logo where we get a rock inspired cover of the Marvel Studios fanfare, the Guns N' Roses songs ('Sweet Child O Mine' does appear and I was cheering every time it was played), the Michael Giacchino score (some themes to me called back to Mark Mothersbaugh's "Thor: Ragnarok" score). I discovered a new 80s song which I like a lot now, 'Rainbow in the Dark' by Dio, that plays during the end credits.I'm sure if I think back later I might realise the experience was better than the movie itself, but that's OK. I absolutely loved the end titles too!I think I liked this better than "Thor: Ragnarok" (but that one had more ties to the MCU than this).Loved the nods to "Event Horizon" and "Interstellar" too! Here are some shots from yesterday — all low light ones with @samsungwithgalaxy #withgalaxy #S22 #karthikabhiram #makenightsepic
