Moon Picture with the Samsung Galaxy S22 — The day before yesterday, I was genuinely surprised to get this picture of the moon, from the new phone! Samsung's computation photography techniques are doing a lot of heavy lifting here and this is a great result in my opinion, really an example of software transcending hardware limitations. Hardware wise, the phone has a 70mm equivalent (3x) lens, but you can push it all the way to 30x zoom which is what I did here. The AI automatically recognised that this was the moon and adjusted the exposure and I was able to get one shot with much more detail in it. You can swipe to see the straight from camera image, and swipe again to see another picture which is softer and didn't capture as much detail (more representative of the other moon pictures I have taken so far on S22). This AI processing doesn't seem to kick in as much at 10x or 20x though. Also, there is supposed to be a lunar eclipse happening tomorrow morning but it's apparently not visible from India. #karthikabhiram #withgalaxy #s22 #hellohyderabad #moon
